You can enjoy nature here endlessly, even across the border. The Holtmühle nature reserve, a high terrace that forms the prelude to the steep wall of the Meuse, is interesting for both walkers and cyclists, because heights of almost fifty meters are reached here.

In addition to this elevated terrace, the fens, lakes and the Maas, EuroParcs Maasduinen also stands for diversity in other ways. Not only Venlo, but also Roermond and Mönchengladbach are a short distance away: Roermond is a twenty-minute drive away and Mönchengladbach is fifteen minutes away.

EuroParcs Maasduinen offers more than just the natural beauty of Maasduinen National Park, the meandering Maas and the Holtmühle nature reserve just across the border. On the German side there is another beautiful nature reserve: the Ravensheide. Furthermore, a short distance from the holiday park is the river dune area Het Paterbosje, where several streams, such as the Maalbeek, Veenbeek and Aalsbeek, also have their source.

The icing on the cake when you walk or cycle here is the sight of Holtmühle Castle, a seventeenth-century castle in the middle of nature that stands out for its two gatehouses and tithe barns. Other natural gems are the Zwart Water nature reserve and the Grote and Kleine Heide.

In terms of urban comfort: The Oude Markt in Venlo, the Hindenburgstrasse Bismarckstrasse and Friedrichstrasse in Mönchengladbach and the Designer Outlet Roermond are the places for shopping enthusiasts. There is also plenty to see and experience in terms of history and culture in the center of these three cities.
