What to see and do

All kinds of water sports are available here, with surfing being particularly popular. You can also do all kinds of sports in the area. There are all kinds of cycle paths, including a 27-kilometre cycle path around the lake. Furthermore, several challenging mountain bike routes start directly behind the park. The picturesque surroundings also lend themselves to beautiful hikes, along the shores of the lake or in the mountains from which you can overlook the park.

But: the region around the holiday park is also popular in the cold month, as you can ski in nearby Gerlitzen: there are 45 kilometres of ski runs, unlocked by ten ski slopes. In total, there are 15 kilometres of ski routes of varying degrees of difficulty.

Ossiach itself has a 760-metre-long summer toboggan run, and you can go paragliding from nearby Gerlitzen. In terms of short hikes in the immediate area, a trip around the medieval Landskron castle near Villach is highly recommended. The castle is further accessible by car. For those with climber's legs, the Finsterbach waterfalls are a must do. Panoramic views from different heights and beautiful waterfalls alternate during the climb. However, nature park Dobratsch is the high point in terms of hiking pleasure. This nature park with the 2166-metre mountain peak after which it is named is a treat for the eyes.
