EuroParcs takes over Uniek Parken resorts

News - EuroParcs takes over Uniek Parken resorts

EuroParcs Group has acquired the three resorts of Uniek Parken. They are Bungalowpark Zuiderzee (Medemblik), Résidence Koningshof (Schoorl) and Remboe Village (Epe). The resorts fit geographically seamlessly into EuroParcs Group's Dutch offering. They also mean a strengthening of EuroParcs Group's position on the Dutch coast and on the Veluwe, the largest nature reserve in the Netherlands. The employees of the three parks will be employed by EuroParcs Group. With the acquisition of the parks, EuroParcs Group has acquired a total of 15 new resorts over the past six months.

Strengthening position

"The acquisition of the Uniek Parken resorts fits into our growth ambition," said Andries Bruil of EuroParcs Group's management board. "We want to become the largest provider of vacation parks in Europe. With the parks right on the North Sea, the IJsselmeer and on the Veluwe, which is very popular with our guests, we have struck a good blow. For EuroParcs Group, not only Dutch tourists, but also German tourists are very important. We are active with our eastern neighbors with our own office. With these parks in our portfolio, we strengthen our position as an attractive provider of vacation parks for the German tourist."

Bungalow Park Zuiderzee in Medemblik (205 vacation homes), Résidence Koningshof in Schoorl (97 vacation homes) and Remboe Village in Epe (215 vacation homes) employ a total of 21 employees. They will join EuroParcs Group with immediate effect. Andries Bruil: "We extend a warm welcome to these new colleagues. EuroParcs Group is a growing organization with excellent career prospects. They will find themselves in a challenging environment and we are happy to offer them the opportunity to develop further within our company."

Great interest

With the acquisition of the 3 parks, EuroParcs Group has 55 locations in 4 countries. "Our resorts, including these parks, are in absolute A locations," said Andries Bruil. "We see that our parks can boast great tourist interest. Partly as a result of corona, many Dutch people are choosing to vacation in their own country. Our sector is reaping the benefits of this. This certainly also applies to EuroParcs Group. In this spring period, virtually all our vacation homes are occupied. And we also see that bookings for summer vacations are going fast. Our expectation is that the trend of choosing home country more often will become structural in nature."
