You will experience Holland, or rather the Netherlands, at EuroParcs... It is a slogan that is particularly apt for EuroParcs Ameland. Thanks to the panoramic view over the sea. Thanks to the combination of wind and water that symbolize the feeling of freedom.
Against the edge of the dunes
Within walking distance of the beach
View of the lighthouse
EuroParcs Ameland is located on the west side of the island, on the Hollumer dunes and the Borndiep that separates Ameland from Terschelling. The eye-catcher of the park is the 55 meter high lighthouse that dates from 1880. In any case, each of the four villages and two hamlets on Ameland has many national monuments, because all these six places are centuries old.
Ameland is also known for its inspiring dune and forest excursions and eco safaris, for example in the Het Oerd nature reserve. It has a unique biotope of salt water (the jellyfish) and fresh water. You can also take to the water through boat trips, mudflat excursions or a so-called nature experience tour on the Wadden Sea. Furthermore, even in bad weather you can still experience the island in its soul in the Nature Center. Or visit the flour and mustard mill De Wachting, which is more than a hundred years old, where flour and mustard are still produced. Another recommendation is MSA Modelspoor: a miniature dream world of trains, cars, houses, landscapes and of course their miniature inhabitants on an area of no less than 350 square meters.
