Experience a place where the Netherlands is still as it used to be. Where forest and open landscape playfully mix. EuroParcs Ruinen inspires with its beautiful nature and the magnificent Dwingelderveld National Park. The unique landscape of wet heathland, fens and numerous special marsh plants makes your eyes twinkle. Also because butterflies and other animals that are almost extinct elsewhere in the Netherlands can be found here.

Walking and cycling in the unique Dwingelderveld at EuroParcs Ruinen means enjoying the typically Dutch landscape where sheep, cows and Scottish Highlanders ensure that this open land remains intact and is not overgrown by forest.
National Park Dwingelderveld is a place where, in 37 square kilometres, you will find almost the entire Dutch 'wildlife': from deer (some 400 deer live in the nature reserve) to foxes and from badgers to many water and songbirds.
Other recommendations for a day trip include Achter 't Zaand sheepfold, Bird and Animal Park Ruinen, Animal Park Taman Indonesia, Butterfly Paradise Papiliorama and the dolmens.
There is also plenty to do at EuroParcs Ruinen itself. The park has an indoor swimming pool, indoor playground, outdoor playground, a nature and water playground, a bicycle cross-country park and a petting zoo where children can also ride ponies.
